Great video. Very tasteful playing. I got the lefty without a bigsby. Strung it with 12s and tuned down 1/2 step. Neck is a bit thin for me, but its still very comfortable. Minimal feed back for a hollow body. Blows away the Casino...for sure. Toss the Bigsby, get a trapeze. This is just my opinion. Tuning stability is spot on. If you want tuning stability with a Bigsby, you gotta go with heavy gauge string. Again IMO

I love this model but we gotta play what works for us. My vela is my number 1. I'm gonna try to find a loaded pickguard off one of the new ones with the USA pickups and continue enjoying it.

A year on and Squier has reissued the JMJM and it is now $150 less than the anniversary. Chris Buck (Cardinal Black) uses an anniversary well known in UK has also just put a video out on both. He says the JM is more P 90ish and points out clunk on trem probably because of bridge difference. I shall try both, but as you I like maple necks so JM has too be better to sway me 😅😅

YES - this IS the best analog delay money can buy. I am lucky enough to have one! I bought it for my synthesizers, and the sound of my Kiwitechnics "Matrix"-modded JX3P through the Meraki delay is, quite simply, the stuff of legend. Nothing can stand as a serious competitor here, the Meraki wins.

I was really interested in this amp, but can’t find any demos of a good edge of breakup sound, which is what I use 90% of the time. It seems like it’s all either 100% clean cleans or rawk crunch tones.

I had the original when it was first released, and I found that the pre amp was too much unless you adjusted everything else in the chain.The actual effect was excellent. Harmonic Trem is to now what Chorus was to the 80's, - not always used appropriately.Personally, I find the Vox Percussive Repeater style much more interesting, while the Harmonic is like several other modulations like UniVibe.Supro make some serious pedals, not unlike Pigtronix, who are owned by the same larger company.

Does this one have onboard effects that don't need an amp? Can they be heard without an amp? Asking for a friend 😅

I have the black satin 2017 solid body same pickups. I love it so low in weight and sparkles like tele but can get dirty as well just a great player . I haven’t watched the entire video yet but I don’t know what you’re trading for but that’s a really nice guitar. The new ones are more expensive but come with the PRS American pickups and pots and elects etc. Anyway if you haven’t already traded I would keep it unless you’re getting something way better. GOOD LUCK.

Got this model week ago. Like the neck, body shape, frets, pickups and everithing else. But this bass-boost i can't stand really - too boomy and mudy - not very usable sound(

For me the celestion sounds good fairly balanced and articulate. The warehouse speakers sound very mid range forword to the point of being EXTREMELY boxy and honky.

Sounds great but dimensions are huge.

I almost got a Lightning…but, I went with the Nighthawk instead. One of these days we’re gonna have to figure out how to do a video together where all of us combine our matchless rigs. lol.

Considered the GT’s for a minute, but didn’t like how Fender left us early Mustang adopters high & dry when they discontinued them. Your playing and tone selection was right up my alley. So refreshing and helpful to hear it demonstrated that way. I very much dig your style. After watching several other reviews - as soon as I saw your Jazzmaster, I was like, “finally! Here we go!” ;)

Just finished reading the manual and I can say GFI System knows what they are doing. An excellent job of design, control choices and ranges, and user friendly interface. Great MIDI implementation as well.

Thanks for this demo. As a pro mixer I know EQ is the most important part of an instrument’s sound. As a guitarist, I’ve always wondered why it is paid so little attention by devices made for the guitar. This looks like a real answer. Excellent playing by the way.

can you play it at medium to full volume? given that it is a 10w amp so close to the pickups, doesnt it generate a ton of feedback?

I love strats, they just feel right and I love how they look. But they're only my second favorite, after the Jazzmaster. Favorite strat player would be Doug Martsch of Built to Spill.

I really really want to love the Stratocaster. I have bought and sold 5 now. They just… Don’t do it for me. Can’t explain why but I’ve never picked one up and gone “Man I love how this feels”.

This sounds really cool. I do like how simple it is. I’m looking at this, the fjord Locke, ms. Delayette, and the el cap. There’s too many. Ha. But I do want a cool tape delay. The combination of the forward and reverse delay probably put this in the forefront.
